A photojourney of our coworking space
by Larkin Garbee
I just came across these pictures today and figured I would share them with everyone. Here is a little trip down memory lane of what the space looked like before the walls were built and the creation of the coworking space. Oh what fun! Here is a photo of the building when it was yellow and blue (I miss this color scheme-- unfortunately, I wasn't one of the decision makers for the exterior):
This next photo one of the first design plans before we decided to make so many offices. Maybe one day soon we will have so many coworkers that we need to make a second space similar to the one here for all of our coworkers!
This is the space where the private offices are now. The photo was taken standing back where the kitchen is now. This opening was created to let more natural light in for the private office area. Originally, this wall was completely closed off.
Then, it was time to build all of the walls for the office. This photo was taken standing in the large opening that was created (same as above) and shot looking back into what are now the private offices.
This next photo is what it looked like after we chopped the wall off to allow light into the private office area and create a general flow throughout both spaces.

Then it's time for some of the decorative finishes like our beautiful accent wall made of a glass tile mosaic.
A sneak peek at the conference room with our funky spiky light, conference table, and storage area (the coffee bar and water cooler has been move to the front of our coworking space to encourage more "water cooler" discussions since this photo)
Some of the finished pictures of the space as we know it today: photos of the space, pictures on #RVAJelly attendees and a photo of one of our members, Janeen Wall.
