April is Unofficial Startup Month in RVA by Larkin Garbee Innovation, mobile, and collaboration were the keywords in RVA a few months ago. This month? STARTUP. The number of startup events this month is pleasantly overwhelming, so I have decided to log them all here in hopes that some of the great people of Richmond are able to attend at least one event. I have officially deemed April the unofficial startup month for RVA. (Please let me know if I missed any!) Feast RVAA crowd funded event with a meal. It's pretty simple: pay $25, attend the event, listen to the pitches, and vote for your favorite pitch. The winner gets $500. (Our own 804RVA member, Vincent Alfaro is featured this month). Designed for networking and sharing your ideas, attendees are encouraged to "bring iPads loaded with a pitch deck and a small cord containing your website and pertinent info".
